Our Story

Lantern is owned and operated by digital personal-finance company SoFi, a trusted name in fintech. As a product comparison platform, we offer a simple and transparent way to find financing in an unbiased marketplace.

We understand the lending process is not easy for everyone — and seek to help you determine which products make the most sense for your unique financial situation.

2021

Lantern adds auto loan refinancing, student loan refinancing, credit cards, and mortgages to its offerings.

2020

Lantern partners with online lenders to begin providing SMB and personal loan offers. It adds lenders participating in the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) to its network to help businesses struggling during COVID-19.

2019

Lantern acquired by SoFi.
